So! It's been nearly 6 years since I initially set off for Ethiopia, way back in 2007, about 3 since I've been there, back in 2010. Now I'm leaving on Saturday to return for 5 weeks. As a certain former house mate of mine would say: "Yee Hawww!"
I'm heading back on my cross cultural bible college placement. Some have suggested that this won't be much of a cross cultural experience for me, but however.
I'm going out again with SIM, on a "Vision trip". I have just finished my 2nd year of Bible College in the Irish Baptist College. Since working in Ethiopia a number of years ago on a short term basis I've always felt God's call to go back to missionary service overseas in Ethiopia long term. So this trip will enable me to spend some time getting an up to date look at projects and ministry opportunities where I might be able to serve when I return to Ethiopia long term. I hope to visit projects in Addis Ababa, Mekelle and Langano, helping out where possible!
I'm really looking forward to getting back out to Ethiopia, visiting old friends and getting an up to date look at the work going on in the country.
I'll endeavor to update this blog as much as I possibly can, as well as posting pictures of everything. See you back again in 5 weeks!
Prayer points:
Pray for me as I travel around the country, visiting the various projects, that I will be kept safe, and that God would lead me as to where he would have me serve him.
